Description
As a Locum MD in Anesthesiology, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality anesthesia care to patients, ensuring their safety and comfort throughout various medical procedures. Responsibilities
Administer anesthesia and monitor patients during surgical procedures
Evaluate patients' medical histories and assess their suitability for anesthesia
Collaborate with surgeons and other medical professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes
Manage anesthesia-related complications and emergencies
Provide post-anesthesia care and evaluate patients' recovery
Stay updated on the latest advancements in anesthesiology practices
Maintain accurate medical records and documentation
Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to quality improvement initiatives
Requirements
MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
Valid medical license to practice in the state of New Jersey
Basic knowledge of anesthesiology principles and practices
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
Commitment to patient safety and high-quality care
Experience in a clinical setting is a plus but not required
Schedule: 8, 10, or 12-hour shifts
Shifts available at multiple facilities
Patient Census: 10 per day
Some L&D cases, no cardiac or trauma cases
EMR: Epic
Must be board-certified or board-eligible
Paid travel & expenses
