Technical Infrastructure Program Manager, Data Center Planning Delivery
Description
We’re seeking an experienced Technical Infrastructure Program Manager in Herndon, VA or Seattle, WA to oversee data center build projects. The role leads cross‑functional and technical teams from conceptual design feasibility through requirements, budget, completed design, implementation, testing, and deployment. The successful candidate will be a strong communicator, thrive under ambiguity, and understand mechanical/electrical engineering concepts. They will apply project management tools and techniques across all phases, manage capital budgets, eliminate non‑value‑add activity, design solutions, remove blockers, and accelerate project delivery.
Core responsibilities
Lead cross‑functional teams from conceptual design through to deployment.
Manage project scope, schedule, budget, resources, quality and risk.
Use project management tools (MS Office, MS Project, MS SharePoint, Tableau, KanBan, Playbook, SQL, etc.) to track progress and report metrics.
Collaborate with stakeholders across multiple time zones, eliminating blockers and accelerating delivery.
Apply mechanical/electrical engineering principles to design efficient data‑center infrastructure.
Present status updates and findings to executive leadership.
Basic qualifications
3+ years of technical infrastructure management experience.
Knowledge of best practices and emerging technologies related to network, data‑center, hardware, and software infrastructure.
Experience managing infrastructure build scenarios.
Preferred qualifications
Master’s degree in engineering, management or technology, or 5+ years of managing multiple large projects.
Experience in data‑center design, construction, operations or facility maintenance.
Experience in project management within data‑center or comparable critical infrastructure.
Experience in resource planning, schedule management, status reporting and prioritizing own tasks and team tasks for multiple projects.
