Summary Radiologic Technologist (RT) works with medical providers to perform X‑ray examinations, analyze patient imaging, and maintain efficient operations at UCSF‑GoHealth Urgent Care centers.

Key Responsibilities

Collaborate with medical providers and assistants to manage patient care, organization, and communication.

Apply x‑ray energy for diagnosis across all age groups, ensuring proper positioning and patient safety.

Perform pre‑examination patient interviews, gather medical history, and record vital signs.

Operate and calibrate radiographic equipment, maintain QA/QC logs, and troubleshoot equipment issues.

Assist in administrative duties: maintain patient records, perform chart scanning, and execute follow‑up calls.

Support clinic operations by coordinating procedures, ensuring smooth workflow, and collaborating with the ordering provider.

Qualifications

High School Diploma required; graduate of an approved Radiologic Technologist program required.

Clinical experience preferred.

BLS certification at time of hire.

ARRT registration required at time of hire.

State licensure as a Radiologic Technologist required (if applicable).

Essential Functions

Perform x‑ray services under provider direction for all age groups.

Ensure correct positioning and protect patients during exposure.

Prepare patients, conduct vital signs, and provide point‑of‑care testing as needed.

Maintain equipment and submit repair tickets; follow calibration and QA/QC procedures.

Provide patient education, explain procedures, and address questions.

Keep accurate documentation and images for interpretation.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Knowledge of X‑ray procedures, protocols, anatomy, and radiology equipment safety.

Skill in patient positioning, equipment assessment, infection control, and radiation safety.

Ability to identify equipment problems, correct issues, and notify supervisor.

Work Environment

Service‑centered, high‑volume urgency care; requires collaboration with multi‑disciplinary team.
