The role is responsible for providing professional engineering expertise that positively impacts both the community and the environment. The incumbent will work on innovative designs and see diverse projects through development, detailed design, commissioning, and construction support.

The Role This Senior Mechanical Engineer will work primarily on projects within industrial manufacturing, life sciences (biopharmaceutical), pulp and paper, and fuel terminal piping and tanks. Additional projects may include process industries, air and sea ports, energy, commercial development, and other business sectors.

Responsibilities
Serve as a technical resource on complex designs and advance engineering theories, concepts, principles, and processes.
Perform mechanical design, working with other mechanical staff, and coordinate with other disciplines on specific projects.
Prepare design calculations and documentation that support the project design basis.
Prepare mechanical drawings, through the use of designers or drafters, and develop specifications.
Coordinate design with vendor‑supplied equipment.
Prepare equipment layouts and general arrangements.
Prepare construction bid packages and construction specifications.
Assist in preparation and presentation of proposals, including scope of services and fee estimate.
Support sectors with business development activities and proposal input.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering and a minimum of 7 years of relevant experience.
Registration as a Professional Engineer (PE) is required.
Working knowledge of facility/building mechanical systems including HVAC and plumbing.
Familiarity with process system design and equipment including pumps, fans, heat exchangers, cooling towers, boilers, chillers, conveyors, and air handlers.
Ability to identify, interpret and apply relevant codes and standards to engineering designs.
Ability to develop and maintain relationships with prospective clients, vendors, and constructors.
Proficient with MS Office suite.
Experience with AutoCAD, CADWorx, or Revit is a plus.
Knowledge of Caesar (preferred) or Autopipe pipe stress software, desired.
Knowledge of PIPE‑FLO preferred.
Ability and willingness to travel to an off‑site location and/or accept client site assignments when required.
Benefits
Salary Range: $120,000‑$150,000/year depending on location, education, experience, and certifications directly related to the position.
