Location Remote role with 50% travel in an assigned territory.
What You Will Do The Director‑Sales, Central Region is responsible for achieving the sales targets for KPS Industrial products within an assigned region. The director supervises and develops the regional sales team and the distribution/dealer network and provides guidance consistent with Rehlko’s specified targets to individual Sales Managers.
Specific Responsibilities
Ensure success for Rehlko within a defined region and through all target accounts and projects, with project updates occurring monthly.
Close on all target accounts/projects assigned to Sales Managers and distributors/dealers through cold‑calling, prospecting, networking, and sales/business development activities.
Supervise and develop the regional sales team and the distribution/dealer network.
Assess and provide guidance on the level of involvement needed from distribution to maximize success closing each target account and project.
Support Rehlko’s penetration of specific end‑users, engineering and design build firms, and corporate accounts, including global or national account models.
Own market planning efforts across Sales Managers and distributors/dealers to define market share targets, required resources, and action plans aligned with VP, Sales direction.
Maintain and update target account and project lists and reports in line with Rehlko expectations, ensuring decision‑makers at each level are connected.
Integrate new product development initiatives into market planning and ensure commitment from customers prior to product launch.
Align distribution scorecards with market planning and investment/development targets for distributors.
Conduct selling activities, including negotiating legal and credit terms, supporting design, preparing quotations, delivering product presentations, assisting equipment selection, and negotiating distribution terms and margins.
Ensure timely and accurate completion of sales forecasts, call reports, expense reports, summaries of calls, route sheets, credit follow‑ups, service and warranty follow‑ups, and other special reports required of the regional sales team.
Collaborate with VP, Sales to update and execute go‑to‑market and distribution strategy across channels, regions, products, and end‑use segments.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Engineering (Electrical or Mechanical); MBA preferred.
7+ years of power generation or related industry experience, including direct sales on strategic/national accounts or equivalent experience as a consulting engineer, sales engineer, or applications engineer.
Experience in at least one of the following market segments: data centers, hospitals, water & wastewater, emergency backup power, or other key applications (preferred but not required).
Proven leadership, results‑oriented, aggressive self‑starter, and solid communication skills.
Demonstrated people skills to lead and motivate professionals in a matrix organization.
Salary range for this position is $145,200.00–$186,700.00. The specific salary rate offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate’s experience, education, and work location.
