Director of Accounting Position Overview
We are seeking an accomplished Director of Accounting to oversee comprehensive financial operations in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment. This role leads full‑cycle accounting, ensures compliance with GAAP, and drives process enhancements while managing a high‑performing team. The ideal candidate is strategic, detail‑oriented, and skilled at delivering accurate financial insights to support organizational goals.
Key Responsibilities
Direct full‑cycle accounting operations, including general ledger management, financial statement preparation, and reconciliations to ensure accuracy and compliance with GAAP.
Lead and mentor accounting teams, assigning tasks, setting deadlines, and fostering collaboration to achieve high‑quality financial reporting and operational efficiency.
Develop and implement accounting policies and internal controls, optimizing workflows to enhance accuracy and streamline month‑end processes.
Collaborate with leadership to provide actionable financial data, support audits, and drive strategic initiatives through detailed analysis and reporting.
Requirements and Skills
Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
10+ years of progressive accounting experience, including expertise in financial reporting and compliance.
5+ years of leadership experience managing accounting teams.
Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and financial process optimization.
Preferred
CPA certification or progress toward it.
Familiarity with intercompany transactions and international accounting standards.
