Position Title Talent Acquisition and Engagement Specialist

Exemption Non-Exempt

Job Summary The Talent Acquisition and Engagement Specialist has the primary responsibility of full cycle recruiting across multiple departments. The key functions of this role will be to enhance the employee experience from recruitment through employment and to facilitate the new hire experience throughout the first 60 days.

Responsibilities

Primary facilitator and driver of the full cycle recruiting process, including posting jobs, conducting phone screens, scheduling interviews, gathering feedback, and extending offers.

Organize and complete pre-employment compliance tasks such as background and reference checks.

Facilitate the weekly hiring manager recruiting status meeting.

Drive and facilitate the onboarding process, including preparing necessary documents and orientation guides.

Host first-day orientation for all new employees, complete compliance paperwork (Form I-9 & E-Verify, tax forms, etc.), and ensure a positive and welcoming first day experience.

Oversee the maintenance of various HR databases: Applicant Tracking System and Training platform.

Manage and update content on NECHV Job Sites and Career Pages (LinkedIn, Indeed, Glassdoor, Handshake).

Ensure current and new employees have workspaces that meet NECHV standards.

Partner with hiring managers to update job descriptions.

Search for and attend local career fairs.

Conduct new hire onboarding activities and follow-up post-hire activities with a goal of positive employee engagement.

Assist with employee engagement activities, including recognition and surveys.

Skills and Experience

Bachelor’s Degree required.

Minimum of two years’ recruiting experience with an interest in professional growth.

Excellent organizational, verbal and written communication, and listening skills.

Professional and proactive demeanor, welcoming attitude.

Experience working within Applicant Tracking Systems and LinkedIn Recruiter, preferred.

Extraordinary work attitude with a focus on enhancing employee engagement.

Advanced computer skills; proficient in MS Office with particular focus on calendar management.
