$70,000 – $115,000 annually (includes a 3% non–performance-based bonus)
Work Schedule:
Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Job Description: We are seeking an experienced Accountant II to support a stable, long-tenured accounting team within a privately held real estate organization. This role is responsible for full-cycle property accounting, financial reporting, and tenant account management across a diverse portfolio. The ideal candidate brings strong technical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a track record of longevity in previous roles.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform month-end close activities, including preparation of property operating statements, journal entries, and monthly accruals.
Prepare account reconciliations and supporting schedules.
Research and resolve inquiries from senior management during monthly and quarterly reporting cycles.
Prepare tax and operating expense recovery billings.
Abstract lease documents and maintain accurate financial data within the accounting system.
Review and post monthly fixed charges and issue courtesy statements.
Apply cash to tenant accounts and communicate with tenants regarding billing or account questions.
Collaborate with property management, collections, and other internal teams to resolve tenant-related inquiries.
Assist with training and onboarding of team members.
Participate in special projects, process improvements, and additional accounting assignments as needed.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
5+ years of progressive accounting experience; real estate or property management experience preferred.
Proficiency with Yardi or similar property management accounting software.
Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple priorities.
Demonstrated tenure and reliability in past roles.
CPA certification is a plus.
