Overview
California Department of Health Care Services (DHCS) is seeking a Staff Services Manager I to supervise the Operations unit responsible for fiscal operations related to behavioral health programs. The incumbent will supervise six staff and oversee administrative claim processing, claims monitoring, analyses of county costs and fiscal estimates, and intergovernmental transfer processes and reporting. This position reports to the Staff Services Manager II and requires strong analytical, leadership, interpersonal, and written/oral communication skills. The role may involve representing the Section at DHCS meetings and collaborating with other DHCS sections to improve processes. Responsibilities
Plan, direct, and organize day-to-day operations of the Operations unit. Supervise six analytical staff and manage multiple priorities. Oversee fiscal transactions related to DHCS behavioral health programs, including administrative claim processing, claims monitoring, cost analyses, and intergovernmental transfer reporting. Collaborate with other DHCS sections to facilitate process improvements and may represent the Section at meetings. Ensure compliance with the Department’s Conflict of Interest Code and annual filing requirements. Minimum Requirements
