General Manager – Job Description
This position pays $17–$26 an hour with opportunities to earn bonuses each period. Qualifying full‑time employees receive paid sick leave, employer‑sponsored medical benefits, paid vacation, and employee discounts.
Key Responsibilities
Operate all store equipment.
Stock ingredients from the delivery area to storage, work area, and walk‑in cooler.
Prepare food products.
Receive and process telephone orders.
Take inventory and complete associated paperwork.
Clean equipment and furnishings approximately daily.
Attend orientation and on‑the‑job training.
Essential Skills & Functions
Accurately add, subtract, multiply, and divide using a calculator if necessary; make correct monetary change.
Strong verbal, written, and telephone communication skills; give correct written instructions and process orders over the phone and in person.
Motor coordination between eyes and hands/fingers for rapid, accurate movements; use computer keyboard or touch screen to enter orders.
Work Conditions & Physical Demands
Exposure:
Varying and sometimes adverse weather conditions; temperatures from 36°F in cooler to 90°F+ in some work areas; fumes from food odors; cornmeal dust; hot surfaces/tools up to 500°F; sharp edges.
Physical Demands:
Standing most of the shift; walking short distances; occasional sitting for paperwork; lifting bulk product deliveries up to 50 lb; carrying items up to 30 lb; pushing/pulling trays on dollies; moving between stairs or ladders; bending, stooping, and squatting as needed.
Environmental Factors:
Noise from equipment and customers; visual demands for near and mid‑range vision; ability to differentiate hot and cold surfaces.
Delivery / Driver Responsibilities (if applicable)
Deliver product by car to customer doorstep; deliver flyers and door hangers.
Navigate delivery area including multi‑story buildings and private homes; carry product while walking and climbing stairs.
Maintain a valid driver’s license with a safe driving record and access to an insured vehicle for delivery.
