Job Description:
- The Patient Services Representative I (PSR I) serves as the first point of contact for patients, providing support during routine health visits or diagnostic procedures.
- This entry-level role focuses on delivering compassionate assistance, maintaining the waiting area, and learning phlebotomy skills to grow within the organization.
- The position requires professionalism, accuracy, and a commitment to high-quality patient care.
- Greet patients, answer questions, and assist with check-ins via kiosk or handheld tablet.
- Maintain the integrity and cleanliness of the waiting area.
- Assist with coverage during breaks when other Phlebotomists are unavailable.
- Learn and perform phlebotomy skills, including forensic and clinical specimen collection, once trained.
- Perform daily activities accurately and on time under supervision.
- Maintain a safe and professional environment.
- Keep required records and documentation updated.
- Promote a positive image to patients, clients, and staff.
- Strong customer service skills.
- Ability to provide compassionate patient assistance.
- Willingness to learn phlebotomy.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and accuracy of patient information.
- Keyboard and data entry proficiency.
- 1 2 years of client-facing customer service experience (e.g., retail, home health aide).
- No prior phlebotomy experience required.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
