Description Robert Half's client is seeking a proficient Office Assistant situated in Fairfax, Virginia. This a contract position starting during the tax season. As an Office Assistant, your main responsibility will be to carry out a range of clerical support tasks, manage customer interactions, and ensure seamless office operations. This opportunity is a contract position. Responsibilities:
- Handling communication through phone calls and scheduling appointment
- Filing and organizing charts to ensure easy accessibility and accuracy
- Scanning and photocopying documents as required
- Using MS Office to manage, organize, and update relevant data
- Performing receptionist duties, including managing incoming phone calls and directing them to the appropriate department or personnel
- Handling and sorting incoming U.S. mail and FedEx deliveries, ensuring they reach the appropriate employees
- Dispatching outgoing mail in a timely and accurate manner
- Ordering office supplies as needed and managing the existing inventory to ensure smooth office operations
- Keeping track of office equipment and arranging for maintenance or repairs when necessary
- Implementing basic office skills to effectively perform daily tasks and duties.
- Minimum of 1+ year of office experience.
- Proficient in using Microsoft Office Suite.
- Demonstrated customer service skills with the ability to resolve queries and issues efficiently
- Experience in data entry with high levels of accuracy and attention to detail
- Capable of organizing files and maintaining an efficient filing system
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- High level of professionalism and strong work ethic
- Flexibility to work part-time hours as required
