Director of Educational Strategy – 2 Hour Learning (Remote) – $400,000/year USD
Base pay: $200/hr (equivalent to $400,000/year).
We’re looking for an academic leader who has shaped a compelling vision and taken full ownership of its outcomes. You have built tangible results that validate your approach, earned credibility to present that work publicly, and led decisively—now we need you to synchronize execution across school environments, elevate academic leadership, and serve as the public advocate for learning science.
What You Will Be Doing
Develop academic frameworks that convert learning science principles into actionable guidance for curriculum design, motivational architecture, and application development.
Conduct academic execution reviews with Heads of Academics to ensure school teams remain aligned, accountable, and effective.
Integrate data, stakeholder interviews, and direct observation into system assessments that identify critical barriers to accelerated learning and recommend interventions.
Ensure strategic alignment through structured planning, continuous feedback, and milestone management to sustain focus on student learning objectives.
Serve as the public face of 2 Hour Learning in high‑profile forums, including keynote presentations and engagements with Ministries of Education.
What You Won’t Be Doing
Engaging in isolated curriculum initiatives that do not lead to system‑wide impact.
Producing theoretical research disconnected from measurable student outcomes or operational implementation.
Transferring accountability for performance to mid‑level managers or external advisors.
Relying on institutional reputation or abstract frameworks to influence critical stakeholders.
Basic Requirements
Advanced degree (Master’s or Ph.D.) in Learning Science, Educational Psychology, Instructional Design, or related field.
7+ years of leading academic or EdTech teams with evidence of exceptional learning outcomes.
Proven experience applying AI or technology to accelerate learning.
Track record of public thought leadership such as media, keynotes, books, or advisory roles.
Strong performance‑management skills with the ability to hold peers to a high bar.
Fluency in interpreting data to diagnose learning issues and direct interventions.
Comfortable engaging directly with students, parents, and school leaders.
Nice‑to‑Have Requirements
Founded or led an innovative school model, lab school, or high‑performing EdTech venture.
Experience navigating cultural, political, or international education contexts.
Deep familiarity with Bloom’s 2 Sigma research and other mastery‑learning frameworks.
About 2 Hour Learning Education is broken, but 2 Hour Learning proves it need not be. By tearing down the outdated one‑size‑fits‑all model and replacing it with AI‑driven personalized learning, we help kids master academics in just two hours a day. Students rank in the top 1‑2 % nationally, and the top 20 % achieve an astonishing 6.5× growth. Talent and performance matter.
