Responsibilities
Help manage and improve patient health through safe and appropriate dispensing, counseling, and immunizing practices.
Travel the district to fill pharmacist shifts as scheduled by the District Performance Coordinator, overseeing the pharmacy and serving as the Pharmacy Manager’s proxy during bench shifts without overlap.
Support safe and accurate prescription fulfillment by following pharmacy workflow procedures and utilizing safety guardrails at every workstation.
Assume Pharmacy Manager’s day‑to‑day duties when serving as the primary pharmacist‑on‑duty.
Show empathy and genuine care, coaching the pharmacy team to provide compassionate care and resolve insurance and medication issues.
Offer and deliver immunizations, supporting Pharmacy Technicians in learning to immunize.
Manage pharmacy inventory, especially protecting cold chain products.
Remain flexible for scheduling and business needs, contributing to a safe, inclusive, and engaging team dynamic.
Maintain clinical and technical skills, pursuing company‑required trainings and CMEs.
Provide pharmacist‑delivered clinical care such as testing and prescribing services where permissible.
Comply with federal and state laws, professional standards, and CVS Health policies related to patient safety and controlled substances.
Required Qualifications
Active Pharmacist License in the state where the Store is located.
Active National Provider Identifier (NPI).
Not on the DEA Excluded Parties list.
Essential Functions
Travel within a reasonable radius to support market staffing.
Regular and predictable attendance, including nights and weekends.
Complete required training within designated timeframe.
Attention and focus: concentrate on tasks, pivot quickly, confirm prescription information and label accuracy.
Customer service: help people in a friendly manner, respond to patients’ reactions.
Communication: use verbal and written communication effectively, practice active listening.
Mathematical reasoning: calculate dosages, supplies, and inventory.
Problem resolution: identify challenging interactions and choose best courses of action.
Physical demands: mobile, lift, scan, bag items, reach overhead, repeat finger movements, lift up to 20 lbs.
Additional tasks as directed by Supervisor or Manager.
Preferred Qualifications
1–2 years of related work experience in a pharmacy, retail, medical, or customer service setting.
Anticipated Weekly Hours 40
Time Type Full time
Pay Range $60.00 - $76.00 (base hourly rate)
