Manager - AI Software Development Architect
EY is looking for a seasoned software architect with deep expertise in AI‑native application development to lead architectural strategy, design, and delivery of AI‑enabled solutions across a global client base.
About the role As a Manager – AI Software Development Architect, you will partner with product and engineering leadership to define AI architecture patterns, guide AI integration into traditional software, and build AI agents that enhance product value. You will drive adoption of AI best practices, collaborate with cross‑functional teams, and mentor junior engineers.
Key responsibilities
Develop AI‑native design patterns in collaboration with product teams.
Support tool chain selection and conduct technical assessments.
Create best practices for AI‑native development and patterns.
Guide evolution of existing applications to adopt AI functions and technology.
Assess new projects to ensure best practices in AI architecture and implementation.
Collaborate with architectural experts in AI, security, data, and infrastructure to balance outcomes.
Support strategic business development activities for emerging technology.
Required experience and skills
5–10+ years of software engineering and architecture for product organizations.
Experience with AI native development tools and code assistance (e.g., Cursor, Claude Code, Qodo/Codium, Gemini, AWS Q, GitHub Copilot).
Strong proficiency with Linux and container orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes) for multitenant cloud or bare‑metal deployments.
Familiarity with scripting languages (Python, Bash) and syntax (Go, Rust, Java).
Deep understanding of APIs (REST, gRPC, A2A, MCP) and agentic system design.
Model fine‑tuning and customization experience (RAG, SFT, LoRA/PEFT).
Experience with modern IDE, CI/CD pipelines, and code hosting platforms (GitHub/GitLab/Azure DevOps).
Knowledge of NVIDIA NVAIE and Microsoft Azure AI stacks.
Experience with AI native tools such as Figma.AI, 8090.AI, base44, and similar.
Preferred experience
Large‑scale cross‑functional software development projects.
Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
