Senior Network Architect/SME in Enterprise Facilities Security and Industrial Control Systems Networks
GovCIO is hiring a Senior Network Architect/SME for our NIH-CIT proposal located in Bethesda, MD. This is a remote/hybrid position.
Responsibilities
Coordinate with the Section Manager to evaluate, design, and test architecture designs and services from the roadmap backlog.
Lead the transition of user‑accepted designs and services to the Operations and Security Teams.
Provide subject‑matter expertise in Enterprise‑level facilities security.
Provide subject‑matter expertise in Enterprise‑level industrial control systems networks (e.g., SCADA networks).
Strategically plan, architect, design, engineer, develop, test, implement, modernize, and enhance the functional capabilities, capacity, and performance of the NIH Network and TIC Services in alignment with NIH future‑state architecture objectives.
Software and hardware installation, configuration, upgrades, and maintenance.
Team with the Security Section to achieve security architecture requirements.
Maintain technical architecture documentation.
Troubleshooting and problem resolution.
Change management.
Support resources responsible for security implementation, monitoring, maintenance, and vulnerability remediation.
Strategic transformative planning for network architecture services.
Qualifications Bachelor’s degree with 12+ years of experience (or commensurate experience).
Required Skills And Experience
CCIE Certification: Written and practical.
Within each of the Cisco Certifications, the following specializations are needed and listed in order of importance: Routing and Switching, Service Provider, Data Center, and Wireless.
Clearance Required: Must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.

Posted Pay Range The posted pay range reflects the range expected for this position at the commencement of employment; however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job‑related knowledge, skills, education, experience, and internal equity. The total compensation package for this position may also include other compensation elements to be discussed during the hiring process. If hired, the employee will be in an "at‑will" position and GovCIO reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time.
Posted Salary Range USD $108,310.00 – USD $149,027.00 per year.
