Base pay range $90,000.00/yr - $120,000.00/yr
About the role
We’re hiring an
Applications Engineer – Wiring & Systems
to own wiring applications across
power unit, dyno, and vehicle
environments in high-performance motorsports. You’ll design, prototype, install, and support
complex looms and harnesses
for
hybrid and BEV platforms , working across
12V to 1000V
systems with strict
high-voltage safety
requirements.
What you’ll do
Design and layout complete vehicle harnesses for hybrid/BEV platforms
Translate system I/O requirements into wiring architecture and harness layouts
Build and validate prototype harnesses/looms
Develop test equipment harnessing for dynamometers and lab systems
Support HV/LV testing for
e-machines
and
energy storage systems
Troubleshoot loom/harness faults and improve reliability
Applications, installation & component sourcing
Install and maintain wiring systems up to
1000V
Select/source connectors, wire, shielding, conduit, and protective materials
Support integration for inverters, DC-DC converters, ECUs, loggers, displays, and HV safety systems
Cross-functional support
Partner with dyno and trackside engineering teams during build, test, and operations
Support internal departments with wiring needs across power unit and vehicle programs
What we’re looking for
5+ years
designing vehicle harnesses and wiring systems
Strong experience with
motorsport loom design/layout/installation , including
HV systems (60V+)
Hands‑on capability with
mil‑spec wiring standards
and harness production tools
Solid understanding of automotive electrical architecture: ignition systems, ECUs, and vehicle electronics
Strong troubleshooting, data analysis, and project ownership skills
Able to read/interpret electrical schematics and technical drawings accurately
Comfortable with PC‑based documentation tools and engineering workflows
Leadership ability (mentoring, task coordination, or team lead experience)
Nice to have
Hybrid/BEV integration experience in motorsports or high‑performance vehicle programs
