as the After School Program Director for the 2025-2026 school year. As Director, you will be the driving force behind every aspect of the operation of the Healthy Kids Program Site.

Grimshaw Elementary School in LaFayette, NY Pay:
$17.00 per hour Hours:
2:15 pm - 6:00 pm
Responsibilities
Guide compliance: Ensure staff and program adhere to OCFS guidelines, Healthy Kids policies, and host school rules.
Bring the fun: Direct engaging hands‑on activities based on the Healthy Kids Curriculum covering fitness, STEAM, academics, arts, and homework completion.
Manage essentials: Maintain attendance and registration records, ensure staffing levels.
Communicate: Maintain open lines with parents via the Playground App.
Collaborate: Regularly communicate with your direct report and address issues promptly, fostering a positive environment.
Requirements To be qualified as a director, a person must possess either:
An Associate degree
in Child Development, Elementary Education, Physical Education, Recreation, or a related field and at least two years of direct experience with children under 13, including one year in a supervisory capacity.
A New York State Children’s Program Administrator Credential
and the same experience requirements.
A School‑Age Child Care Credential
or another recognized credential for the school‑age developmental period and the same experience requirements.
Two years of college
with 18 credits in Child Development, Elementary Education, Physical Education, Recreation or a related field and the same experience requirements.
Qualifications
Medical clearance and free of communicable diseases including TB.
Warm, friendly, upbeat with exceptional people skills; professional, reliable, punctual.
Capable of bending, stretching, lifting, carrying up to 50 lbs., and energetic as needed.
