Salary:
$11,437.00 - $14,315.00 per month (minimum salary for new to state candidates). Location:
5900 Folsom Blvd., Sacramento, Sacramento County. Hybrid telework available. Final Filing Date:
01/03/2026 Job Description And Duties:
The Senior Engineering Geologist (Supervisor) plans, organizes, and directs geologic and geophysical studies for transportation projects. Responsibilities include: Coordinating with district units and geotechnical design offices. Liaising with clients and overseeing geophysical testing. Ensuring on‑schedule testing and timely delivery of results. Maintaining the validity of a California professional geologist or geophysicist license. Eligibility and Qualifications: Valid California Board for Professional Engineers, Land Surveyors and Geologists license. Score on the Senior Engineering Geologist exam or state examination list eligibility. Proficient in AASHTO, ASTM, California Test Methods and field procedures. Knowledge of geotechnical investigations and design, and experience with downhole and surface geophysical tests. Ability to build and maintain positive working relationships. Special Requirements:
Submit a Statement of Qualifications (SOQ) – two-page, single‑spaced 12‑point font, addressing the abilities listed above. Application Process:
