Role Description This is a full‑time, on‑site role located in Bethesda, MD for an Assistant General Manager at Olazzo, typically requiring 45‑55 hours per week. The Assistant General Manager oversees daily restaurant operations while ensuring exceptional customer service and operational efficiency.
Responsibilities include managing, training, and scheduling staff; monitoring inventory and ordering; addressing guest concerns; and ensuring compliance with all health and safety regulations. The role works closely with the General Manager to support financial and operational goals while fostering a positive, team‑oriented work environment.
Qualifications
Strong leadership and staff management skills, with experience in training and supervising teams
Customer service and problem‑solving skills, with a focus on creating excellent guest experiences
Inventory management and organizational skills to ensure efficient operations
Knowledge of health and safety regulations within the hospitality or restaurant industry
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with both customers and team members
Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
Prior experience in a managerial role, particularly within the food service or hospitality industry, is preferred
Prior experience using Toast POS is preferred
