Position Summary We are seeking a Sr. Accounting Specialist / Financial Analyst to join our small, high-performing finance team. This role will support core accounting functions, including Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, month-end close, journal entries, and tax filings, while also contributing to financial reporting and analysis.
This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented accounting professional who is looking to expand their responsibilities in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities Accounts Receivable
Generate and distribute customer invoices
Analyze accounts for non-payment or delayed payments
Follow up, collect, and apply customer payments
Reconcile customer accounts and resolve discrepancies
Enter non-EDI wholesale or service orders
Accounts Payable
Receive and verify vendor invoices
Process invoices through the AP system
Reconcile vendor accounts and address discrepancies
Assist employees with expense report submissions
General Accounting & Compliance
Prepare and post journal entries in QuickBooks Online
Support the month-end close process and account reconciliations
Prepare and file sales and use tax returns
Provide general accounting and administrative support as needed
Qualifications Required
Bachelors in Accounting, Finance, or Business
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel
Proficiency with QuickBooks Online
Preferred
Three or more years of experience in accounting or finance
Experience with Avalara
Prior AR/AP or tax filing responsibilities
