Order Picker

Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated Order Picker to join our team in Madison, Wisconsin. In this role, you will be responsible for accurately and efficiently picking customer orders from warehouse shelves and preparing them for shipment. Your precision and speed are vital to our logistics process, ensuring that our customers receive the correct items in a timely manner.
Responsibilities:

• Accurately pick customer orders using a handheld scanner or order list.
• Locate products in the warehouse and retrieve them efficiently.
• Package picked items securely for shipment, ensuring no damage occurs during transit.
• Verify order accuracy before and after picking.
• Stage completed orders in designated shipping areas.
• Operate equipment such as pallet jacks and order pickers as needed.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to all warehouse safety standards.
• Strictly follow all safety guidelines, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
• Assist with inventory counts and stock put-away as required.
• Contribute to the overall efficiency of the logistics and fulfillment process.
• Must be able to perform tasks involving regular lifting and movement of goods.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience as an order picker or in a warehouse environment is preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret pick lists and product labels accurately.
• Proficiency in using handheld scanners or other order picking technology.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work at a fast pace and meet performance targets.
• Physical ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift repeatedly throughout the shift.
• Comfortable with lifting items up to 50 lbs.
• Commitment to workplace safety and the correct use of PPE.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Understanding of basic logistics and warehouse operations.
