Job Summary:
Are you a motivated individual seeking a role in logistics? We are hiring a Picker/Packer for our busy warehouse in Virginia Beach, Virginia. This position is vital for ensuring that our customers receive their orders accurately and on time. As a Picker/Packer, you will be responsible for accurately selecting items from inventory and preparing them for shipment. Attention to detail, speed, and efficiency are key. You must adhere strictly to Safety guidelines and wear the required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times. This role involves a significant amount of physical activity, including movement throughout the warehouse and the ability to handle packages. - Accurately pick items from warehouse shelves based on order lists or scanners.
- Inspect picked items for damage or defects before packing.
- Pack orders securely and efficiently, selecting appropriate packaging materials.
- Label packages correctly for shipment.
- Operate scanning equipment to track inventory movements.
- Maintain a clean and organized workstation and surrounding work area.
- Adhere to all warehouse Safety rules and regulations.
- Wear and maintain assigned PPE, such as safety vests and gloves.
- Assist with other warehouse duties as needed, contributing to overall logistics flow.
- Participate in inventory counts as required.
