Responsibilities:
- Prepare shipping documents, including bills of lading, packing slips, and customs forms.
- Verify that outgoing shipments match order details and packing lists.
- Coordinate with carriers to schedule pickups and track shipments.
- Ensure packages are properly labeled and addressed for delivery.
- Operate shipping software and systems to process shipments.
- Maintain accurate shipping records and logs.
- Communicate with customers and internal departments regarding shipping status.
- Assist with receiving and inspecting incoming goods as needed.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and wear appropriate PPE.
- Handle moderate lifting tasks associated with preparing shipments.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; some college or vocational training preferred.
- Experience as a shipping clerk, logistics coordinator, or in a related administrative role.
- Proficiency in shipping software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
- Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
- Must be able to lift up to 30 lbs.
