Job Summary:
Join our team as an Inventory Control Specialist in St. Louis, Missouri! This critical role ensures the accuracy and integrity of our warehouse inventory, which is fundamental to our overall logistics operations. You will be responsible for conducting regular cycle counts, performing physical inventories, investigating and resolving discrepancies, and maintaining meticulous inventory records within our Warehouse Management System (WMS). Your analytical skills and attention to detail will be key in identifying root causes of inventory issues and implementing corrective actions. This position requires a proactive approach to inventory management and a strong understanding of warehouse procedures. You'll work collaboratively with various warehouse teams to ensure stock accuracy, minimize losses, and optimize stock rotation. Responsibilities:
  • Conduct cycle counts and periodic physical inventories.
  • Investigate and reconcile inventory discrepancies promptly.
  • Maintain accurate inventory data in the WMS.
  • Monitor inventory levels and identify potential shortages or overages.
  • Implement and enforce inventory control procedures.
  • Ensure proper handling, storage, and rotation of inventory.
  • Collaborate with warehouse staff to improve inventory accuracy.
  • Identify and report damaged or expired stock.
  • Assist in process improvement initiatives for inventory management.
  • Strictly adhere to all safety regulations and wear required PPE.
  • Capable of occasional Lifting of items up to 50 lbs.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's degree in a related field preferred.
  • Previous experience in inventory control or warehouse logistics.
  • Proficiency with WMS software and inventory tracking tools.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Understanding of warehouse operations and inventory best practices.
  • Knowledge of safety procedures and the importance of PPE.
  • Ability to perform tasks including some Lifting.
