Order Picker

Job Summary:

You will be navigating the warehouse using pick lists or scanners, locating specific products, and preparing them for packing and shipping. The role involves significant walking and standing, as well as occasional lifting of items. Understanding the flow of goods within a logistics setting is crucial. Responsibilities:

• Accurately pick items for customer orders using pick lists or RF scanners.
• Locate products within the warehouse efficiently.
• Ensure correct quantities and items are selected for each order.
• Stage picked items for the packing and shipping departments.
• Maintain an organized and clean work area.
• Adhere to all warehouse safety rules and procedures, including the proper use of PPE.
• Report any inventory discrepancies or damaged goods immediately.
• Operate pallet jacks or other material handling equipment as needed.
• Participate in inventory counts and other warehouse duties as assigned.
• Meet or exceed productivity and accuracy targets.
• This role requires regular lifting of items up to 40 pounds.
• Work effectively within a team environment to achieve common goals.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience as an order picker or in a warehouse environment is preferred.
• Ability to read and understand pick lists and product labels.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Physical stamina to stand, walk, bend, and reach for extended periods.
• Willingness to wear required PPE and follow all safety guidelines.
• Basic understanding of inventory control principles.
• Good communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Reliable attendance and punctuality.
• Familiarity with logistics operations is beneficial.
