Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick specified items from warehouse shelves based on order requirements.
- Verify product codes and quantities to ensure order accuracy.
- Pack picked items securely and efficiently using appropriate materials.
- Prepare orders for shipment, including affixing labels and documentation.
- Operate manual and powered equipment such as pallet jacks and pick carts.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
- Conduct quality checks on picked and packed items.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including proper lifting techniques.
- Consistently wear all required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Participate in inventory cycle counts and stock replenishment activities.
- Communicate with supervisors regarding any issues or discrepancies.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a picker/packer or in a similar warehouse role is preferred.
- Ability to read and understand pick lists and/or operate scanning equipment.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including standing, walking, bending, and lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Understanding of warehouse safety best practices.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Reliability and punctuality are essential.
- Willingness to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be able to work independently and as part of a team.
