Picker/Packer

Job Summary:
Join our thriving logistics center in Columbus, Ohio, as a Picker/Packer. This role is essential for ensuring that customer orders are accurately picked from inventory and securely packed for shipment. You will work with a variety of products, employing efficient methods to meet daily targets. A keen eye for detail and a commitment to quality are paramount in this position, directly impacting customer satisfaction and operational efficiency within our warehouse.
Responsibilities:

• Accurately pick items from designated locations within the warehouse using pick lists or scanning devices.
• Inspect picked items for accuracy in quantity and product type.
• Select appropriate packaging materials and efficiently pack items to prevent damage during transit.
• Print shipping labels and prepare packages for dispatch, ensuring all documentation is accurate.
• Operate manual and electric pallet jacks and other material handling equipment safely.
• Maintain a clean and orderly workspace, adhering to 5S principles.
• Participate in inventory management activities, including cycle counts.
• Meet or exceed established productivity and quality standards.
• Adhere strictly to all company Safety regulations and procedures.
• Wear all mandated PPE , including safety glasses and gloves.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED.
• Previous experience as a picker, packer, or in a similar warehouse role is advantageous.
• Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS) is a plus.
• Physical capability to stand for extended periods, walk, and perform repetitive motions.
• Capacity for Lifting items up to 50 lbs.
• Familiarity with Logistics processes is beneficial.
• Understanding of proper packing techniques to ensure product integrity.
