Order Picker

Job Summary:
Our Baltimore, Maryland distribution center is seeking efficient and dependable Order Pickers. In this crucial role, you will be responsible for accurately retrieving products from warehouse shelves according to customer orders. Your primary goal is to ensure that orders are picked correctly and promptly, contributing directly to our customer satisfaction and the efficiency of our logistics operations. This position requires attention to detail and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:

• Accurately pick items from warehouse inventory based on order specifications.
• Utilize RF scanners or pick lists to identify and locate products.
• Transport picked items to the designated packing or staging areas.
• Verify order accuracy before moving items to the next stage.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including the mandatory use of PPE .
• Operate equipment such as pallet jacks and order pickers as needed.
• Assist with inventory counts and cycle counts.
• Follow all instructions for order fulfillment and shipping preparation.
• This role involves significant standing, walking, and requires the ability to perform lifting of up to 50 lbs.

Qualifications:

• Prior warehouse or order picking experience is beneficial.
• Ability to read and interpret order sheets and product labels.
• Experience with RF scanning devices is a plus.
• Strong focus on accuracy and attention to detail.
• Capability to work effectively in a physically demanding, fast-paced setting.
• Must be able to stand for prolonged periods and handle frequent lifting .
• Commitment to workplace safety , including the proper use of PPE .
• Basic understanding of warehouse operations and logistics .
• Reliability and a strong work ethic.
• Good physical stamina.
