Order Picker

Job Summary:
Join our expanding logistics team in Des Moines, Iowa, as an Order Picker. This role is essential for accurately fulfilling customer orders by retrieving specified items from our warehouse inventory. You'll utilize various equipment and technology to locate and gather products, ensuring the right items are selected for shipment. The job requires physical stamina, constant movement, and the ability to handle frequent Lifting. We prioritize Safety above all else and provide comprehensive training, including proper use of PPE, to ensure a secure working environment. Responsibilities:

• Accurately pick orders from designated warehouse locations using pick lists or scanners.
• Verify product information and quantities before placing them in order containers.
• Transport picked items to packing or staging areas.
• Assist in maintaining inventory accuracy through diligent picking practices.
• Ensure the work area is clean, organized, and free from hazards, adhering to Safety regulations.
• Operate equipment such as pallet jacks and order pickers as needed.
• Comply with all company Safety policies and procedures, including wearing required PPE.
• Contribute to the overall efficiency of our logistics operations.

Qualifications:

• Prior experience as an Order Picker or in a similar warehouse role is preferred.
• Must be capable of consistent Lifting (up to 50 lbs) and standing/walking for extended periods.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
• Familiarity with warehouse Safety standards and practices.
• Proficiency in using hand-held scanners and other warehouse technology.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced logistics environment.
• Willingness to wear necessary PPE.
• Good communication and organizational skills.
