Order Picker

Job Summary:
Embark on an exciting career path as an Order Picker in our Des Moines, Iowa distribution center. This position is fundamental to fulfilling customer orders accurately and efficiently. You'll be responsible for locating, retrieving, and preparing items for shipment. Responsibilities:

• Accurately pick orders based on customer requirements and system data.
• Use RF scanners and other equipment to locate and track inventory.
• Ensure the correct items and quantities are picked.
• Pack picked items securely for shipment.
• Transport picked items to the packing or shipping station.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area.
• Assist with inventory cycle counts.
• Follow all safety guidelines and procedures, including the correct use of PPE.
• Operate pallet jacks or other equipment as needed.
• Meet productivity targets while maintaining high accuracy standards.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience as an order picker or in a similar warehouse role is advantageous.
• Ability to perform consistent lifting up to 40 lbs.
• Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Familiarity with warehouse operations and logistics.
• Willingness to wear required PPE, such as safety vests and gloves.
• Strong work ethic and commitment to safety.
