Your primary responsibility will be to efficiently locate and retrieve items from warehouse shelves, preparing them for shipment. This position is crucial for maintaining customer satisfaction and requires a strong focus on accuracy and safety.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick items from warehouse shelves based on pick lists or electronic scanning devices.
- Verify the correct item, quantity, and condition of picked goods.
- Stage picked orders in designated areas for packing and quality control.
- Operate order picking equipment, such as pallet jacks, safely and efficiently.
- Maintain an organized and clean work area, ensuring aisles and pick paths are clear.
- Adhere strictly to all company safety policies and procedures, including the mandatory use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Participate in inventory checks and assist with stock replenishment as needed.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and order processing.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as an order picker or in a similar warehouse role is advantageous.
- Ability to stand, walk, and move around the warehouse for extended periods.
- Capable of lifting up to 40 pounds occasionally and 20 pounds frequently.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in order fulfillment.
- Good organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to read and understand product labels and instructions.
- Understanding of basic logistics and warehouse operations.
- Commitment to safety and following instructions carefully.
