Order Picker

Job Summary:
We are hiring an Order Picker to join our growing logistics team in Des Moines, Iowa. In this critical role, you will be responsible for accurately and efficiently selecting items from our warehouse inventory to fulfill customer orders. Your duties will include using a pick list or scanner to locate and retrieve products, ensuring the correct quantity and item are selected. You will also be involved in preparing items for packing and shipment, contributing to the overall efficiency of our distribution center. A commitment to accuracy, speed, and safety is essential. This position requires physical stamina, including regular Lifting, and the ability to work in a fast-paced warehouse setting. Adherence to all safety protocols, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), is mandatory. Responsibilities:

• Read and interpret pick lists or use a scanner to identify items to be picked.
• Accurately retrieve products from warehouse locations.
• Verify item numbers and quantities picked against orders.
• Transport picked items to the packing station.
• Assist with maintaining warehouse organization and cleanliness.
• Report any inventory discrepancies to a supervisor.
• Follow all warehouse safety rules and guidelines, including the use of PPE.
• Perform other warehouse duties as assigned to support the logistics operations.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED.
• Prior experience as an order picker or in a similar warehouse role is preferred.
• Ability to perform tasks requiring manual dexterity and precision.
• Capability to lift up to 45 lbs.
• Excellent accuracy and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and meet performance targets.
