Group Director of Sales
Ryder System, Inc.
is seeking a Group Director of Sales to lead new business development and account management activities within a defined sales territory. The incumbent will develop, manage, and execute a multi‑level sales plan to achieve revenue growth and business retention goals.
Essential Functions
Direct, manage, and develop a team of multi‑level sales professionals to achieve stated sales and retention goals.
Plan, organize, and provide leadership to achieve short‑ and long‑term business growth and retention objectives.
Ensure the development and implementation of strategic and tactical marketing initiatives for the assigned territory.
Develop and lead the execution of processes and sales activities designed to retain and grow current customers.
Interface with Ryder’s customers and prospects to maximize opportunities across the full breadth of Ryder’s products and services.
Maintain knowledge of competitors’ strengths and weaknesses and manage the execution of a competitive strategy.
Additional Responsibilities
Perform other duties as assigned.
Skills & Abilities
Advanced knowledge of financial elements such as balance sheets, cost of capital, depreciation, and tax reporting (preferred).
Expert knowledge of transportation and warehousing, including general principles and freight movement logistics (preferred).
Familiarity with Ryder’s sales process, products, and services.
Must demonstrate competencies in motivating/directing others, driving results, customer focus, business acumen, and managing vision and purpose (preferred).
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Transportation, or a related field.
Master’s degree preferred or equivalent experience.
Seven (7) or more years of successful sales management experience, including competitive analysis, strategy development, and negotiation.

Minimum Pay Range: $190,000
Maximum Pay Range: $210,000
