The Office of the Chief of Staff for S&P Dow Jones Indices (S&P DJI) supports the organization's strategic initiatives, coordinating engagement with key stakeholders such as the Board of Directors, S&P Global Executive Committee, and the S&P DJI Operating Committee. The team ensures seamless execution of S&P DJI and S&P Global priorities, focusing on external relations, board engagement, and strategic cross‑functional execution. It works closely with the CEO and executive leadership to define vision, mission, strategy, and supports initiatives in strategy planning, top‑line growth, operations, and people.

About the Role Grade Level: 10

The role partners with business leaders across S&P DJI to shape its strategy. Reporting directly to the Strategy Planning Lead, the incumbent supports a wide range of strategic initiatives—Quarterly Business Reviews, KPI Scorecards and Dashboards, Market/Competitive Research, and creation of OpCo/Leadership materials. The position involves global projects with varied topics and high visibility, leveraging S&P Global’s GenAI tools. It provides exposure to S&P DJI leadership and expertise across Product, Commercial, and Operations, fostering career growth within a dynamic, global team.

Responsibilities and Impact

Strategy Planning:

Create key strategy materials with S&P DJI Operating Committee members and report progress on strategic initiatives, milestones, and organization health metrics (OKRs, KPIs).

Research & Analysis:

Assist with trend, industry, competitor, and market research to understand current and future environments, capturing internal insights and external expertise.

M&A Pipeline:

Support the M&A pipeline by identifying and evaluating targets for inorganic growth, collaborating with the M&A community to share insights and drive growth.

M&A Integration:

Aid M&A processes from screening through valuation, negotiation, due diligence, and post‑merger integration, keeping senior leadership informed.

Client Briefings:

Help prepare the CEO for client meetings by collaborating with Commercial teams to produce briefing documents on account health and growth opportunities.

Technology Integration:

Learn and adopt new technologies to enhance strategic planning and execution.

Compensation/Benefits Information (U.S. candidates only) Base salary range: $83,313 to $126,774, dependent on location, experience, skills, training, licenses, and certifications.

What We’re Looking For Basic Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent qualification.

2–3 years of experience in financial services, professional services, or related field.

Track record of delivering multiple projects independently.

Expert proficiency in MS Office, especially PowerPoint and Excel.

Strong analytical and quantitative skills, capable of data analysis, drawing conclusions, and making recommendations.

Ability to communicate strategic narratives clearly and simply in PowerPoint, with slide design and attention to detail.

Strong project management and communication skills—written, verbal, and presenting.

Self‑motivated with modest managerial guidance.

Ability to deliver results with short lead‑times.

Additional Preferred Qualifications

Experience in AI‑driven research, machine learning applications, or analytics tools and dashboards (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
