Team
The Office of the Chief of Staff for S&P Dow Jones Indices (S&P DJI) is responsible for supporting S&P DJI’s strategic initiatives – deepening and coordinating engagement with key stakeholders including the Board of Directors, S&P Global Executive Committee and S&P DJI Operating Committee. The Office of the Chief of Staff aligns internal and external priorities and ensures seamless execution of S&P DJI and S&P Global’s priorities with a focus on external relations, Board engagement, and strategic cross‑functional execution. This small, nimble team works closely with the S&P DJI CEO and executive leadership to define the company’s vision, mission and strategy and supports business initiatives focused on strategy planning, top‑line growth, operations and people.
About the Role Grade Level (for internal use): 10
This role will partner with business leaders across S&P DJI to help support and shape its strategy. Report directly to the Strategy Planning Lead and support a wide range of strategic initiatives in accordance with the division’s top priorities, including Quarterly Business Reviews, KPI Scorecards and Dashboards, Market/Competitive Research and creation of OpCo/Leadership materials. You are a force multiplier, supporting critical initiatives and pushing them forward.
You will participate in global projects with varied topics and timeframes and with high visibility across the organization, leveraging S&P Global’s GenAI tools in your day‑to‑day work. You will gain exposure to S&P DJI’s leadership team and develop wide expertise across all facets of S&P DJI, including Product, Commercial, and Operations. You will grow and develop your career as part of a dynamic, truly global team.
Responsibilities and Impact
Strategy Planning: Help create key strategy planning materials in partnership with members of the S&P DJI Operating Committee and facilitate the reporting of strategy progress including the execution of strategic initiatives, key milestones achieved and key organization health metrics (OKRs, KPIs).
Research & Analysis: Assist with research on trends, industries, competitors, and markets to understand S&P DJI’s current and future environment, while working with teams to capture internal insights and external expertise.
M&A Pipeline: Support S&P DJI’s M&A pipeline by identifying and evaluating target companies for inorganic growth, collaborating with the M&A community to share insights, capture feedback, and enable a culture of innovative thinking to drive inorganic growth.
M&A Integration: Support M&A processes from target screening through valuation, negotiation, due diligence, and post‑merger integration as well as ensuring Senior Leadership is informed on integration processes.
Client Briefings: Support the S&P DJI’s CEO preparation for client meetings by collaborating with Commercial teams to help create briefing documents highlighting the health of the client account, existing business, and potential future business growth opportunities.
Technology Integration: Help support the Office of the Chief of Staff by learning and adopting new technologies to enhance the department’s strategic planning and execution.
Compensation and Benefits S&P Global states that the anticipated base salary range for this position is $83,313 to $126,774. Final base salary for this role will be based on the individual’s geographic location, as well as experience level, skill set, training, licenses and certifications.
In addition to base compensation, this role is eligible for an annual incentive bonus.

Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent qualification
2-3 years of experience in financial services, professional services, or related field
Good track record of delivering multiple projects independently
Expert proficiency in MS Office suite, specifically PowerPoint and Excel
Able to demonstrate excellent analytical and quantitative capabilities, including the ability to analyze data, draw conclusions and make recommendations
Ability to communicate strategic narratives clearly and simply in PowerPoint with slide design capabilities and attention to detail
Strong project management and communication skills – written, verbal and presenting
Self‑motivated worker with modest manager guidance
Ability to deliver results with short lead‑times
Additional Preferred Qualifications
Experience in AI‑driven research, machine learning applications, or analytics tools and dashboards (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) preferred
