$57,000 - $60,000
Schedule:
Hybrid post 90-days
Program Overview:
The Barbara Kleiman Men’s Shelter is a 200-bed, 24/7 emergency shelter for homeless men. The program will serve both individuals diagnosed with mental illness and/or substance use disorders and individuals who are employed or seeking employment. Our comprehensive services include case management, individual and group counseling, mental health care and primary medical care, recreational activities, occupational therapy, employment services and job readiness services, and housing placement assistance.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Managing a full caseload and placing clients into jobs that result in achievement of job placement and retention milestone goals.
Onboarding and training new staff on policies and procedures including intake, assessment, employment plans, placement and retention strategies.
Providing direct support and guidance to new staff on vocational counseling and case management.
Assessing client vocational skills and limitations and developing highly customized employment plans for each client.
Completing all client documentation, including weekly and monthly case notes that record services provided and outstanding issues to be addressed.
Providing retention support including regular in-person or phone/email contact and collecting milestone documentation.
Entering client information and progress into various databases including Salesforce and others as required.
Providing assistance to the management team as needed.
Qualifications
High School Diploma with 7+ years of experience; Bachelor’s degree strongly preferred in mental health, vocational counseling, social work, or related field with 3-5 years of experience.
3-5 years of supervisory experience.
Experience working with individuals with serious mental illness or similar populations.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with strong attention to detail.
Ability to produce clear and accurate case notes.
Flexibility to work evenings or weekends as program necessitates.
