Job Description
Provide comprehensive legal advice on elder law, estate planning, and administration to clients.
Prepare and review legal documents such as wills, trusts, powers of attorney, healthcare directives, and other estate planning instruments.
Represent clients in probate and estate administration proceedings.
Interpret laws, rulings, and regulations related to elder law and estate planning for individuals and businesses.
Assist clients with Medicaid eligibility and application processes.
Collaborate with attorneys and legal staff while managing individual caseloads.
Maintain current knowledge of legal developments, Medicaid rules, and estate planning changes.
Build and maintain strong client relationships, providing regular updates and excellent customer service.
Qualifications
Expertise in elder law, estate planning, and administration.
Deep understanding of New York State Bar and Medicaid requirements.
Minimum 3+ years of legal experience in elder law and estate planning.
Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
Extensive knowledge of Medicaid eligibility and application processes.
Proven track record in estate administration.
Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
Ability to interpret complex laws and regulations.
