Antitrust Practice The firm's Antitrust practice represents clients in sophisticated competition matters including class action defense, government investigations, merger review, civil litigation, and regulatory counseling. Key Responsibilities

Engage in substantive antitrust civil litigation including defending companies in price‑fixing, monopolization, and other Sherman Act and Clayton Act cases

Manage complex antitrust class actions from initial pleading stage through discovery, summary judgment, and trial

Participate in all major phases of civil litigation including case strategy, motion practice, discovery, depositions, expert management, and trial preparation

Assist with government enforcement actions including DOJ and FTC investigations, grand jury proceedings, and regulatory negotiations

Conduct sophisticated legal and economic analysis of competitive effects and market dynamics

Draft compelling briefs, motions, and memoranda on complex antitrust legal issues

Take and defend depositions of fact witnesses and expert economists

Collaborate with economic experts and consultants on damages analysis and competitive impact studies

Provide strategic counseling to clients on antitrust risks in business practices and transactions

Work directly with clients including in‑house counsel and business executives

Develop case strategy and contribute to high‑stakes decision‑making

Participate in the firm's commitment to pro‑bono work and community service

Qualifications

Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school

Outstanding academic credentials demonstrating strong analytical abilities

Active bar admission in relevant jurisdiction or eligibility to obtain admission promptly; Massachusetts Bar preferred

Three or more years of substantive antitrust litigation experience at a law firm

Proven experience with antitrust class actions and all major phases of civil litigation

Comparable BigLaw or sophisticated litigation firm experience required

Background in economics highly preferred (undergraduate degree, graduate degree, or significant coursework)

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities with capacity for complex economic and legal analysis

Effective interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively in team environments
