This role is for a leader who has shaped a clear academic vision, taken ownership of its results, and built tangible outcomes in learning science to earn credibility for public presentation. 2 Hour Learning seeks an academic north star to lead execution across varied school models, elevate academic leadership standards, and serve as the external voice of a movement rooted in rigorous learning science.

At 2 Hour Learning, students learn at twice the speed in only two hours per day. AI‑driven tutors, mastery‑based progression, and a fundamental break from traditional classroom structures produce remarkable outcomes. We need a leader who can align execution, elevate standards, and speak publicly about this model.

What You Will Be Doing

Design academic frameworks that transform learning science into actionable guidance for curriculum, motivation systems, and app design.

Conduct academic execution reviews with Heads of Academics to ensure school teams remain aligned, accountable, and results‑driven.

Synthesize data, interviews, and observation into ecosystem reviews that identify the highest‑leverage barriers to accelerated learning and recommend actionable interventions.

Ensure strategic alignment via planning, feedback mechanisms, and milestone tracking to sustain focus on student learning goals.

Represent 2 Hour Learning at the highest levels—from keynote stages to meetings with Ministries of Education—to drive systemic change.

What You Won’t Be Doing

Work on isolated curriculum projects without driving systemic change.

Publish abstract research disconnected from student results or operational execution.

Delegate accountability for performance to middle managers or external consultants.

Depend on brand reputation or theoretical frameworks to convince skeptical stakeholders.

Director Of Educational Strategy Key Responsibilities Scale and advance the proven academic model by aligning execution across schools, raising leadership standards, and serving as the public voice of a movement grounded in rigorous science and measurable results.

Basic Requirements

Advanced degree (Master's or Ph.D.) in Learning Science, Educational Psychology, Instructional Design, or a related field.

7+ years leading academic or EdTech teams with evidence of exceptional learning outcomes.

Proven experience applying AI or technology to accelerate learning.

Track record of public thought leadership such as media, keynotes, books, or advising.

Strong performance management skills with the ability to hold elite peers to a high bar.

Fluent in interpreting data to diagnose learning issues and direct interventions.

Comfortable engaging directly with students, parents, and school leaders.

Nice‑to‑have Requirements

Founded or led an innovative school model, lab school, or high‑performing EdTech venture.

Experience navigating cultural, political, or international education contexts.

Deep familiarity with Bloom’s 2 Sigma research and other mastery learning frameworks.

Working with us This is a full‑time (40 hours per week), long‑term position immediately available and requires entering into an independent contractor agreement with Crossover as a Contractor of Record. The compensation level for this role is $200 USD/hour, which equates to $400,000 USD/year assuming 40 hours per week and 50 weeks per year. The payment period is weekly.
