Assistant General Counsel, Technology and Managed Services – Senior Manager
Location: Anywhere in Country (Remote) – Open ongoing application. Overview
EY’s General Counsel’s Office (GCO) supports EY business by providing trusted legal advice to EY service lines and enablement functions. The Assistant General Counsel – Technology and Managed Services provides high‑volume, complex legal support focused on managed services and technology agreements. Key Responsibilities
Draft, negotiate and update client‑facing Technology & Managed Services Agreements, advising on contractual strategy and risk. Advise on legal risks associated with technology underpinning managed services agreements including cloud, AI, analytics and data privacy. Collaborate with U.S. GCO and local counsel in other EY member firms on cross‑border contracting and data transfer matters. Coordinate legal resources and support cross‑functional teams (Data Privacy, Talent, Information Security, Tax). Develop and enhance policies and guidance relevant to managed services and technology services. Manage workflow in a highly dynamic environment, remaining responsive, reliable and accountable to team leadership. Build relationships and deliver exceptional service to GCO clients and stakeholders. Deliver training and knowledge sharing on Technology & Managed Services Agreements. Qualifications
8+ years of complex services and technology‑related transactional experience in a client‑facing capacity. Experience negotiating Technology & Managed Services Agreements with client internal counsel, outside law firms and procurement. Proven ability to develop contracting templates, playbooks and standards. Knowledge of data privacy, intellectual property and technology use in the context of managed services agreements. Cross‑border contracting experience including employee transfer and data transfer. Strong communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills. Bachelor’s degree from an accredited 4‑year college; Juris Doctor from an accredited law school. State Bar membership and good standing with ongoing Continuing Legal Education requirements. Benefits
