Insurance Defense/LItigation Attorney

A well-established Michigan law firm is seeking an Insurance Defense / Litigation Attorney with 1+ years of experience to join its growing practice. This opportunity is ideal for an attorney with an entrepreneurial mindset who is interested in developing a long-term practice within a collaborative, small‑firm environment.

Requirements

At least 1 year of experience practicing law

Admitted to the State Bar of Michigan or eligible for admission

Strong academic background

Excellent written and oral communication skills

Willingness to relocate to and work full‑time in‑office in Grand Rapids, MI

Responsibilities

Manage all phases of litigation from inception through resolution

Develop case strategy and provide legal analysis

Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and memoranda

Conduct written discovery and manage evidence

Take and defend depositions

Appear at court hearings, mediations, and proceedings

Communicate directly with clients regarding legal strategy and recommendations

Support clients with non‑litigation legal needs as required

Insurance litigation and trial experience are a plus.
