Senior Accountant – Waltham, MA
42 North Dental is a leading provider of non‑clinical business and administrative services to dental practices. With over 40 years of experience, we enable dentists to focus on delivering quality, affordable care while supporting our finance department’s rapid growth. The Senior Accountant will report directly to the Director of Finance and work closely with operations, centralized Accounts Receivable (AR), and other finance functions.
Pay Range $80,000 – $90,000 per year, based on experience.
Responsibilities
Prepare and post journal entries, accruals, and adjustments.
Assist with monthly, quarterly, and year‑end closing activities.
Reconcile general ledger accounts.
Support the external audit process and liaise with auditors.
Identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiencies within the accounting function.
Support ad‑hoc financial analysis and projects as required.
Qualifications
3–5+ years of experience in accounting, preferably in a multi‑entity or fast‑paced environment.
Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting.
Proficiency in accounting systems and Excel.
Analytical mindset, attention to detail, and problem‑solving skills.
Strong organizational and communication skills.
Education / Certification
CPA designation (or in‑progress) strongly preferred.
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
