Job Summary The Electrical Engineer is a key member of a cross‑disciplinary team that supports the operational maintenance of Safran Cockpit, Navigation, Computer, and Calculator systems for military and commercial aircraft. Responsibilities include designing test benches and tools, maintaining equipment according to Safran standards, leading moderate‑complexity projects, and ensuring yearly maintenance of test equipment.

Essential Job Functions

Product design: Electrical Requirements Capture, Digital Design, High‑Power Design, Analog Design, Schematic Capture, and PCB layout.

Perform operational, maintenance, or testing procedures for electronic products, components, equipment, or systems.

Produce engineering estimates for tasks and complete electronic designs.

Ensure timely and efficient project completion to meet company goals.

Provide support and documentation to other engineering teams (software, mechanical, materials).

Perform product troubleshooting and lab testing.

Prepare, review, and approve documentation and test procedures to validate test equipment.

Provide technical support and collaborate with cross‑functional teams, operations, quality, program management, suppliers, and customers.

Evaluate test equipment design changes for impact on cost, schedule, and product design.

Ensure compliance with company policies and internal processes.

Other duties as assigned.

Education & Experience

Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from an accredited institution or equivalent field.

Minimum 5 years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

Analyze incidents and propose technical solutions.

Prioritize projects and tasks to ensure timely completion.

In‑depth knowledge of aerospace or electrical systems.

Understanding of company objectives and goals.

Knowledge of production and repair processes in an aeronautic environment.

Experience in analog circuit design (digital is a plus); includes DC/AC circuit design, DC‑DC converters, constant current sources, and FPGAs.

Knowledge of civil avionics digital interfaces (RS‑232, RS‑422, A429).

Work knowledge of computer hardware design and interfacing: microcontrollers; embedded communication protocols (CAN, Ethernet, ARINC).

Knowledge of civil avionics analog interfaces (thermocouple, synchro, shunt, etc.) and discrete interfaces.

Strong audit and compliance skills.
