This Manufacturing Engineer position is not a traditional production role; it’s a chance to shape and continuously improve our MRO (Maintenance, Repair & Overhaul) processes for key existing product lines. You will lead initiatives focused on process documentation, efficiency improvement and product enhancement while collaborating with cross‑functional teams in Quality, Engineering and Supply Chain. Your work extends across Safran sites and Integrated Product Teams, contributing both to sustaining current programmes and developing the next generation of aerospace innovations. Responsibilities

Review and document current MRO processes and identify opportunities for improvement.

Collaborate with suppliers and Quality Assurance to resolve supplier inquiries for information and product defects.

Analyze and modify product designs in collaboration with other teams such as Design Engineering to assure manufacturability.

Develop design, selection, specification and optimisation of the required equipment, fixtures, tooling, gaging, processes and operations.

Determine other technical matters required to make a product according to the desired volume, timetable, cost, quality level and other specifications.

Monitor established processes via data collection for statistical analysis and use various continuous‑improvement enablers.

May evaluate manufacturing capability and provide technical support at the supply base.

Develop procedures for economical mass production in cooperation with pilot‑plant and production departments.

Conduct tests and measurements throughout stages of production to determine control over applicable variables; service, troubleshoot and solve production process problems with processes or equipment already in operation.

Review field support requirements and recommend tools and test equipment.

Determine maintenance and repair materials required for deployment.

May recommend acquisition and use of new technological equipment and materials.

Other duties may be assigned.

Qualifications

University degree and a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, or an advanced degree in a related field and a minimum of 3 years of experience; if no degree, 9 years of relevant experience.

Minimum of 1 year of SAP‑related experience.

Minimum 5 years of experience in 2D/3D CAD drawing creation and blueprint reading.

This position requires use of information or access to hardware subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). All applicants must be U.S. Persons within the meaning of ITAR.
