The Role

Support EVG’s Accounting & Finance function by ensuring accurate monthly financials, timely reconciliations, and strong financial controls across the network. Reporting to the Director of Accounting, partner cross‑functionally and with external stakeholders to maintain compliance, support audits, and drive process improvement. This hands‑on role is ideal for an accountant who thrives in a fast‑paced, multi‑entity environment and enjoys contributing to operational efficiency as the organization grows. What You’ll Do

Support day‑to‑day financial transactions, journal entries, and close activities Prepare and maintain general ledger and bank account reconciliations Coordinate quarterly inventory processes, ensuring accuracy and adherence to procedures Process travel and expense reports through Ramp Maintain organized, compliant financial records and supporting documentation Assist with internal and external audit preparation and execution Serve as backup support for Accounts Payable as needed Contribute to initiatives focused on improving efficiency, automation, and scalability Support special projects and ad hoc analyses as assigned What We’re Looking For

Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting 1–3 years of accounting experience, including general ledger, reconciliations, and audit support Solid understanding of GAAP and general accounting principles Experience in a multi‑entity, cost‑center, or location‑based accounting environment Experience in veterinary, healthcare, or similar regulated industries is a plus Familiarity with financial ERP systems; Sage Intacct experience strongly preferred Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Outlook High attention to detail with a strong commitment to accuracy Clear, professional written and verbal communication skills Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and meet deadlines Why Join EVG?
