Bookkeeper and Office Manager

Contract-Hire, or open to Direct Hire

$28-30/hr, possible Flex for the right Candidate

Onsite in St. Paul

Job Purpose The Bookkeeper and Office Manager is responsible for managing the financial operations of the organization, including bookkeeping, accounting, donation processing, payroll, and handling accounts payable/receivable and invoicing. This role also provides comprehensive office management support, including scheduling and vendor communications.

Key Responsibilities Accounting

Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, and invoice payments in a timely manner.

Maintain accurate financial records in QuickBooks.

Track revenue and expenses.

Enter and categorize donor contributions in CRM (Salesforce).

Prepare and mail monthly and year-end donation receipts.

Collaborate with external accounting consultants and board Treasurer to ensure best practices.

Assist with budget preparation and financial forecasting.

Provide financial reports as needed.

Deposit cash and checks weekly.

Reconcile all accounts monthly.

Payroll Administration / HR

Serve as main contact for HR services company.

Submit bi-weekly payroll reports.

Track sick time and vacation requests.

Assist with onboarding and maintain employee files.

Ensure compliance with employee handbook and HR policies.

Office Management

Manage room reservations and calendars.

Communicate with vendors and negotiate contracts.

Maintain vendor contracts and track renewal dates.

Oversee building access and rental agreements.

Handle facility maintenance needs.

Document and update office management procedures.

Required Qualifications

3+ years of accounting and office management.

Good organizational Skills and attention to detail

Must be comfortable working in a religious type organization
