Continuous Improvement Manager | Portage, MI Salary Range:

$95,000 - $142,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

Lead and facilitate continuous improvement projects using Lean and Six Sigma methodologies.

Develop and implement strategies to foster a culture of continuous improvement across the organization.

Train, coach, and mentor employees at all levels on CI tools, techniques, and problem-solving.

Identify and prioritize opportunities for waste reduction, cost savings, and process optimization.

Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of CI initiatives.

Drive the standardization of best practices throughout manufacturing operations.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate CI principles into daily operations.

Recommended Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Operations Management, or a related technical field.

5+ years of progressive experience in continuous improvement roles within a manufacturing environment.

Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certification (or equivalent expertise and project experience).

Proven expertise in Lean manufacturing principles (e.g., VSM, Kaizen, 5S, Standard Work, SMED) and Six Sigma methodologies (DMAIC).

Demonstrated ability to lead and manage complex improvement projects, driving measurable results and cultural change.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with proficiency in statistical analysis and relevant software.

Bonus Qualifications

Experience with ERP/MES systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) for data analysis and process integration.

Familiarity with Industry 4.0 concepts and digital transformation initiatives in manufacturing.

Certification or strong experience in Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) or Theory of Constraints (TOC).

Demonstrated ability to develop comprehensive business cases and calculate ROI for improvement projects.
