College Station 02 Produce - Perishables Rep - Part-Time
Location: College Station, TX
Responsibilities As a Perishable Representative, you are responsible for providing a well‑stocked and well‑maintained department while providing superior customer service.
Prepare, package, and merchandise fresh product on a daily basis.
Maintain all department and food safety / sanitation standards.
Provide superior customer service, take orders, answer questions.
Merchandise products effectively using suggestive selling techniques.
Clean and sanitize display cases; operate and maintain equipment.
Comply with food safety and sanitation standards and departmental SOPs.
Additional Department‑Specific Responsibilities
Aguas:
Peel, cut, and chop fresh fruits and vegetables; prepare fresh specialty drinks and food products.
Floral:
Design floral arrangements; provide a variety of fresh, quality products; execute merchandising programs; track seasonal record.
Market:
Cut, trim, and prepare meat; ensure proper product rotation and storage; maintain coolers and freezers; weigh, price, package selections; operate power meat prep equipment.
Produce:
Stock and rotate product; assist floral department; provide product knowledge to customers; cut, wrap, price produce; maintain signing program.
Seafood:
Knowledgeable about fish and shellfish; weigh, price, package selections; maintain coolers and freezers.
Qualifications
Minimum age 18.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Completion of Company Orientation and Safety Training.
Computer systems knowledge (Telxon, ACR, label machine).
Strong customer service, communication, planning, and organizational skills.
Ability to work in a fast‑paced, retail environment.
Physical ability to lift up to 90 lbs (Market) or 50 lbs (Seafood) and perform listed motions.
