About The Position The HOPS team leader has delegated responsibility for operationalising the core values of the organisation, developing and supporting excellence in clinical practice and patient care. The HOPS Team Leader co-ordinates the day to day operational and clinical activities of the team and provides leadership, clinical direction and support to team members. In addition to actively contributing to broader site-based leadership to assist in maintaining a safe and effective environment for consumers, carers, visitors and staff. The role also includes managing a small client case load (0.5).

This position also provides leadership and oversight regarding the HOPS team partnerships with Sacred Heart Mission and Launch Southbank in conjunction with the HOPS Senior Nurse. This includes support to the HOPS Senior Nurse in coordinating and facilitating education sessions to the partner agencies, as well as providing secondary consultation, assessment and advice to agencies and individuals.

The HOPS Team Leader provides operational supervision to all staff within the team. The position will also promote and participate in clinical education and staff development, lead and actively participate in clinical review processes, quality improvement initiatives and service development activities.

About You

At least 4 years’ Bachelor of Occupational Therapy or Social Work

Bachelor Degree in Psychiatric/Mental Health Nursing OR Bachelor Degree in Nursing

Registration with the Nursing & Midwifery Board/Occupational Therapy Board via AHPRA or eligibility for membership with AASW

Advanced clinical skills and experience in community mental health

Demonstrated experience in leadership in a senior role

Working towards post graduate qualifications in management highly regarded

Full Covid-19 and 2024 Influenza vaccinations

Australian working rights and be willing to undergo a Background Check
